Polymer Clay Butterfly Dragon by ShaidySkyDesign Polymer Clay Butterfly Dragon by ShaidySkyDesign
Here is the first design for my line of little dragons. I had originally started with more dragon like wings but as I played around with different wing techniques I developed the butterfly wings. I really liked the effect so designed the entire dragon around the wings. I added in antenna and made the toes long and pointed to really bring the design together.

The entire sculpture is made from polymer clay and the eyes are beads. It stands about 2 inches tall and 2.5 inches long.

This little dragon is looking for his forever home. She is currently listed for sale in my etsy shop.

As always I do take commision work so leave me a comment if u are interested in this dragon or this design in different colors.

I don't do commissions for points, sorry. If you want to commission one just message me with what kind of dragon you want and I can give you a price.

They are made from polymer clay then hand painted.

Yes but how do you get everything so smooth and perfect? :)

I remove fingerprints by gently rubbing the sculpt before baking it and I use baby wipes and rubbing alcohol to remove nicks and dust.

Oh thank you so much. I make all my dragons from polymer clay. I personally like to use Premo and Fimo brands but there is more out there then that. I also hand paint all my butterfly wings.

Thank you. Yeah the wings were a real trial. Took a couple of failed attempts before I figured out the best way to get the effect I was going for.
